Jammu, Oct 23 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today flayed the Congress for the rising ''inflation and corruption'' in the country, saying that it had made the life of a common man miserable.
Addressing a public rally here today, BJP president Rajnath Singh said, ''Whenever the Congress government comes to power either at state or at national level, inflation and corruption always rise in the country and common man remained an overall sufferer." The Congress has ruled India for over 50 years but still our country has to develop itself. The pressure of price hike and corruption has broken the common man's spine, according to Mr Singh.
''Japan is today one of the developed and powerful countries of the world despite attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II, and it took 15-20 years for them, to overcome the situation but India is no where after so many years, asserted Mr Singh.
''When Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the prime minister of India, under the 'Annpurna' scheme, every house had food to eat and cloth to wear but Congress has forced a common man to live miserable life," the BJP chief claimed.
