Bangalore, Oct 23 (UNI) Business Objects, the world's leading provider of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, today announced the opening of its India Development Centre (IDC) here.
The opening of the centre reinforced the focus of the company on India and its commitment to tap India's intellectual capital, Mr Keith Budge, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Asia Pacific and Japan said here in a statement. ''In addition, it extends our aim of operating on a truly global delivery scale both from an R&D and a business perspective'' he added.
The IDC, the latest of the Company's research and development facilities, aimed at maximising research and development resources, while maintaining the focus on bringing localised products faster to the market, the release added.
The IDC expands Business Objects' global R and D footprint. Its other three global R&D facilities were in Vancouver, Canada, Levallois , France and Shanghai , China . The IDC currently employed over 300 engineers and plans to add another 200 staff over the next three years, the release added.
