Assam Rifle routs Indian Navy

New Delhi, Oct 23 (UNI) Playing an all out attacking game, Assam Rifle sank Indian Navy 6-0 in the qualifying round of the Durand football cup here today.

In another match, Jammu and Kashmir Bank accounted for Oil India 2-0.

Assam side proved too hot for the Navy men to handle and virtually gave up the match without much fight.

For the winners, who led 2-0 at half time, the goal scorers were Abel Sema (33rd), Akum Ao (43rd), Thoiba singh (52nd), D Mukain (64th) Ajit Singh(69th) and Nouva Singh (79th) scored a goal each.

In the second fixture, Bilal Ahmed scored a brace to help Jammu and Kashmir Bank oust Oil India.

Bilal scored a goal in each half. He put his side ahead in the 38th minute and them sealed the match with second goal in the 79th minute.
