Mumbai, Oct 22 (UNI) Maharashtra Revenue minister Narayan Rane today hinted that atleast 25 sena MLAs and six MPs would join Congress before the next assembly elections in the state.
Mr Rane, who left the Shiv Sena to join the congress, has so far succeeded in securing resignations of eight Sena MLA's and one MP.
Talking to reporters here, he said attendance was gradually going down at Sena's annual 'Dassera rally', addressed by Balasaheb Thackeray, and derogatory language was being used against opponents.
''I am in Congress and it is my duty to protect my leader Sonia Gandhi from such language,'' he said.
He claimed the Sena was becoming weaker day by day and Ramdas Kadam was the weakest leader of the opposition.
He predicted the alliance between Sena-BJP will not last long.
