Morena, MP, Oct 22 (UNI) Rail traffic was today affected for about one hour at down track on the New Delhi-Mumbai rail line near Banmer in this district as 74 keys connecting tracks were stolen, railway sources said.

Besides 74 keys, 47 liners were also stolen. Traffic was halted soon after two railway employees informed about the theft to senior railway officials.

Some trains including the Kerala Express, the Utkal Express and one other train had been halted for about more than half an hour at Gwalior station.

Later, rail traffic was restored with the help of other keys and liners.

Sources admitted that possibility of an accident could not have been ruled out in absence of keys and liners.
