Punjab govt permits expansion of industrial units in Jalandhar
Chandigarh, Oct 22 (UNI) The Punjab Government has excluded the Gadaipur area in Jalandhar from the Punjab Scheduled Roads and Controlled Area Restrictions of Unregulated Development Act, 1963.
This step has been taken to enable the industrial units set up in and around the Gadaipur area to undertake expansion so as to boost the industrial development of the area.
Stating this here today Industries Minister Manoranjan Kalia, said that this was a long pending demand of the industry and was taken up in a meeting with Jalandhar Chamber of Industry and Commerce held recently. The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.
