Governor Krishna to release memoirs by R D Pradhan tomorrow

Mumbai, Oct 22 (UNI) Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna will release the book ''Never a Dull Moment With Men of Honour and Dishonour'', authored by former Arunachal Pradesh Governor Ram Pradhan, at the Nehru Centre here tomorrow.

This is the third major book penned by Mr Pradhan in English with other two being ''Working with Rajiv Gandhi'' and ''Debacle to Revival'', which is based on Y B Chavan's tenure as the Defence Minister. In addition, he has written several other books in Marathi also.

Besides the author, justice Y V Chandrachud (Retd), Lok Satta Chief Executive Editor Dr Kumar Ketkar, former Mumbai Police Commissioner Satish Sahani and others will also be present at the book release ceremony.

Mr Pradhan, who is a retired Maharashtra cadre IAS officer, holds the distinction of serving as the Union Home Secretary in mid-80s during Rajiv Gandhi's premiership, and also to late Y B Chavan during his tenure as Maharashtra Chief Minister and Union Defence Minister.

He had played a key role in three crucial pacts -- the Punjab Accord, the Assam Accord and the Mizoram Accord.

Mr Pradhan has also served as India's Resident Representative in Geneva to UNCTAD and GATT for 12 years.
