Kolkata, Oct 22 (UNI) Goddess Durga departed for her heavenly abode showering a cool breeze and pleasant weather over the whole of Bengal.
Southwest monsoon has further withdrawn from the remaining parts of the region, Bay of Bengal&Andaman sea. Little or no rain was recorded throughtout the state.
Kolkata witnessed no rainfall in the last 24 hours. There were traces of rainfall in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Alipore Met officials explained.
Met office sources said the maximum temperature was recorded at 32.6 degrees Celsius and the minimum at 22.5 degrees Celsius.
Met officials predicted that rain or thundershowers were likely to occur at a few places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. Weather will be mainly dry in rest parts of the region.
The sky will remain partly cloudy. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 33 degrees Celcius and 23 degrees Celcius respectively, Alipore Met officials informed.
