Nashik, Oct 22 (UNI) Maharashtra PWD Minister and NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal today reiterated his commitment to the party, saying that he would not leave the party.
''Balasaheb I love you, I also love Pawar saheb. I left the Shiv Sena on the OBC issue. Pawar saheb fully supported the OBC cause, therefore, I entered the NCP and will remain there,'' Mr Bhujbal said while addressing the inauguration programme of the 31st sugarcane crushing season of Kadva Cooperative Sugar factory in Dindori taluka of the district.
He said Shiv Sena helped him to stand, while the NCP has helped him in his progress.
Mr Bhujbal said he left Shiv Sena following ideological differences with its chief Bal Thackeray. And now, their ways are different.
He also said though Shiv Sena made him 'big' (gave name and fame), he also took pains and worked for the party.
''Balasaheb, you still maintain your love for me. My affection and love for you will also continue, but our ways are different,'' Mr Bhujbal said.
He also clarified that his expression during his 60th birthday function was an attempt to take stock of the gone-by years and thank all those who helped him during his journey.
''I have hidden love for people like Narayan Rane and Chhagan Bhujbal, and Bhujbal had just expressed his love for me, so I will not comment on person who is deeply in love with me,'' said Bal Thackeray yesterday while addressing the party's 42nd the Dusshera ralley at Shivaji Park in Mumbai.
Bhujbal in a way replied to this today and cleared his stand on the issue.
