plot to kill me will not stop dialogue
BEN-GURION AIRPORT, Israel, Oct 21 (Reuters) Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said today a Palestinian plot against his life had caused him ''great displeasure'' but he would continue his peace dialogue with the Palestinians.
''We will not ignore this ... I have no intention of stopping the dialogue with the Palestinians,'' Olmert told reporters on his plane before leaving on a visit to France and Britain.
Israel's internal security chief told the cabinet on Sunday of a plot to attack the Israeli leader's convoy en route to a meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in the West Bank town of Jericho, media reports said.
The Jericho meeting took place in August after a weeks-long delay.
A senior Palestinian security official told Reuters that Palestinian authorities detained and questioned three men for two months at the request of the Shin Bet.
The men were released last week, sparking an Israeli protest. In response, Palestinian authorities detained the three men for further questioning, the security official said.
