Janata party Prez condemns attack on Benazir in Pakistan

Chennai, Oct 21 (UNI) Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy today condemned the attack on former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, who returned to her country after a self-imposed exile.

In a statement here, he said the terrorist attempt to kill her should be condemned by all.

''But it should also be recognised that the initial encouragement to the Taliban was given by the Pakistan's ISI, when Ms Bhutto was the Prime Minister'', he said and alleged that the attacks on Hindus in Kashmir was inspired by Ms Bhutto.

''Unless she atones for her past sins and support to the Taliban, India should not be seen as supporting her in her synthetic anger at Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf,'' Mr Subramanian added.
