Chandigarh, Oct 21 (UNI) The Indian National Lok Dal will hold 'dharnas' acros Haryana tomorrow to protest against the ban imposed by the UPA-government on export of non-basmati rice and shortage of DPA fertilisers in the state.
The 'dharnas' will be held at all state district headquarters.
Giving this information here today, party state president Ashok Arora and party general secretary and MP Ajay Chautala said the INLD would also present a memorandum to the Governor on the issues.
They said farmers and traders were the main sufferers on account of the ban imposed on rice export.
They claimed that after the ban, the prices of paddy in the states markets had fallen by Rs 500 per quintal. Private buyers were not coming forward to purchase paddy in Haryana, they added.
