Chandigarh, Oct 21 (UNI) The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) will hold dharnas all over Haryana tomorrow to protest against the ban imposed by the UPA-government on export of non-Basmati rice and shortage of DPA fertilizers in the state.
The dharnas will be held at all state headquarter towns.
Giving this information here today, INLD state president Ashok Arora and party general secretary and MP Ajay Chautala said that the party would also present a memorandum to the Governor on these issues. They said that farmers as well as the traders were the main sufferers on account of the ban imposed on rice export.
They claimed that after the ban, the prices of paddy in the states markets had fallen by Rs 500 per quintal. Private buyers were not coming forward to purchase paddy in Haryana, they added.
