Heroine worth Rs 1.5 cr recovered, 2 held in Bhaderwah

Jammu, Oct 21 (UNI) One and a half kilograms of heroine worth Rs 1.5 crore in international market was recovered and two persons were arrested in Bhaderwah town of Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir, police sources said today.

Sources said , 1.5 kilograms of heroine was recovered from the possession of two persons, who were searched by a police party at a nakka laid down in Bhaderwah early morning while they were riding on a two-wheeler.

''Both the drug peddlers have been arrested and two packets of heroine have been seized, sources told UNI asserting that the accused have been identified as Tahir alias Lassa and Mubarak.

Both are of Bhalla, Bhaderwah.

This is the fourth incident of recovering drug assignments from the locals, who are involved in arranging money for the militant outfits by selling drugs in the market.

Bhalessa, Bhonjwa, Marwa and Dachan are the active areas of trans-border smuggling of drugs in Bhaderwah town.
