Notification for first phase of HP elections issued

Shimla, Oct 20 (UNI) The notification for the first phase of assembly elections in three tribal seats of Himachal Pradesh has been issued, state's chief electoral officer Manisha Nanda today said.

Governor V S Kokje today issued the notification for holding elections for Kinnuar, Bharmuar and Lahaul Spiti constituencies of the state on November 14, she said in a release here.

Ms Nanda said the last date for filing nominations for these seats is October 27, 2007, while scrutiny of the nominations would be done on October 29.

The last date for withdrawal of the candidature is October 31, later this month, she said.
