Bangalore, Oct 20 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded in weather office here at 0830 hrs today.
Southwest Monsoon was vigorous over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.
Rainfall occurred at a few places over North Interior Karnataka Hiriyur recorded very heavy rainfall of 13 cms.
Other Heavy rainfall amounts (cm): Uchangidurga 12, Honavar 9, Bharamasagara 8, Kundapur, Kammardi, N R Pura, Yegati, Basaralu, Chitradurga 7 each.
Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Kota, Ron, Hunsur, Nanjangud 6 each, Madapura, T Narsipura, Kolar 5 each, Mani, Dharmasthala, Shirali Ankola, Talaguppa, Holalur, Ballupet, Arsikere, Sravanabelgola, KR Pet, KR Sagara, Kudligi, Parasurampura 4 each.
Maximum temperatures fell at a many places over Coastal Karnataka and changed little over Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and were normal over North Interior Karnataka.
Minimum temperatures fell at a few places over the State.
They were normal over the State.
Bellary recorded 34.1 and Mysore 16.4 degree celsius maximum and minimum temperature respectively over the State.
