J J Hospital gets Rs 220 cr from the Central, State govts
Mumbai, Oct 20 (UNI) Sir J J Hospital today received a total grant of Rs 220 crore from the Central and the State governments.
According to a press release issued by Union Minister for Petroleum Murli Deora's office, Union Health Minister Dr Anbumani Ramdoss handed over a grant of Rs 200 crore from the Central government and Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh handed over a grant of Rs 20 crore as requestd by Mr Deora for the upliftment of the hospital services.
The J J Hospital has multifarious equipments and more than 60 per cent of the patients coming for treatment at the J J hospital come from other cities.
Dr Ramdoss has promised more grants to more hospitals in the city, the release added.
