Guv issues notification for first phase of HP elections

Shimla, Oct 20 (UNI) Nominations for the first phase of assembly elections in three seats of Himachal Pradesh opened today with Governor V S Kokje issuing a notification to this effect.

The Governor issued the notification for holding elections to Kinnuar, Bharmuar and Lahaul Spiti constituencies of the state on November 14, state's chief electoral officer Manisha Nanda said in a release here.

Ms Nanda said the last date for filing nominations for these seats is October 27, while a scrutiny of the nominations would be done on October 29.

The last date for the withdrawal of the candidature is October 31, she said.
