CM, Governor extend Dussehra greetings to people

Dehradun, Oct 20 (UNI) Uttarakhand Chief Minister Maj Gen (Retd) Bhuwan Chandra Khanduri and Governor Sudarshan Agarwal today extended their greetings to the people on the eve of Dussehra here today.

Chief Minister Khanduri in his message wishing prosperous future for the people said that the festival was known for the victory of goodness over evil.

The principle followed by Lord Ram and example set by him was relevant even he said adding Uttarakhand has a healthy tradition of celebrating all the festivals irrespective of the religions in harmony and unity. He also appealed to the people to be instrumental in development of the state.

Governor Sudarshan Agarwal in his message said that the Dussehra festival was the symbol of victory of virtue over vice.

He stressed that all ought to follow the path of Lord Ram to face and eliminate corruption and terrorism from society. He urged the people to unite together to take the state to new height of prosperity.
