Cavalry Green, Sahgal Stud to clash in final

New Delhi, Oct 20 (UNI) Spain import Santiago De Estrada's late charge with six goals helped Cavalry Green to edge out Jaipur Polo Company (JPC) 9-7 to set up a title clash with Sehgal Stud in the Halcyon Baroda Cup here today.

In another match, Sehgal Stud defeated Cavalry ASC 11-9.5 in a close encounter.

After Tarun Sirohi opened the account for Cavalry, Lokendra Singh not only equalized but also helped JPC surge ahead with two consecutive goals. Estrada restored parity for Cavalry. Within moments from the first breather, Manupal Godara made it 3-2 for JPC.

Sirohi again helped his side to draw parity in the second chukker while Estrada complimented by helping Cavalry surge ahead.

Godara then scored the equalizer. As if matching shot for shot, Estrada and Godara scored a goal each for their respective teams as the score was tied at 5-5 at the end of the second chukker.

The third chukker saw the teams fighting tooth and nail, as only three goals were scored, two of them from the lance of Estrada for Cavalry and one from Godara with the former taking a one-goal advantage going into the final chukker.

Estrada scored his sixth goal for Cavalry as Sirohi fired his third to put Cavalry in driver's seat. Ransher Singh scored a consolation goal for JPC.
