'Bishnoi should have resigned before criticising Sonia'

Chandigarh, Oct 20 (UNI) Haryana Finance Minister Birender Singh today said supended Congress MP Kuldeep Bishnoi should have resigned as an MP before criticising AICC president Sonia Gandhi.

Mr Birender Singh stated this while talking to the mediapersons at Bhiwani today.

In reply to a question, Mr Birender Singh said Mr Kuldeep Bishnoi, son of former Chief Minister Bhajan lal, had won the seat of Bhiwani Parliamentary Constituency on the policies and programmes of Congress Party headed by Ms Gandhi.

On the possibility of the mid-term Lok Sabha elections, he asserted that the position of the Congress was very strong as the poor people still had faith in the Congress party.

He said the Congress was a 122-year old party and it had a great history of sacrifices and patriotism.
