Ambala, Oct 20 (UNI) As many as 34 closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras are being installed at the Ambala Cantonment Railway Station in the wake of militant threats.
Seven of these cameras were revolving while the remaining 25 were static, Government Railway Police SP Bharati Arora said here today.
She said these CCTV would be fitted at all the seven platforms, booking offices and parking lots to keep a close watch on anti-social elements and in identifying suspicious persons.
However, Ms Arora said that a ''threatening letter'' received by the Ferozepur Railway Division recently purportedly from Lashkar-e-Toiba was a handiwork of some ''mischievous elements''.
She said security at all the railway stations had been beefed up in Haryana.
