Vijay, Tulasi to represent India in World Junior Championship

Kozhikode, Oct 19 (UNI) National mixed doubles champion Ram C Vijay and Sub Junior National champion P C Tulasi from Kerala are among 12 players selected to represent India in the World Junior Badminton Championship to be held at Auckland from October 24.

A communication to this effect had been received from Badminton Association of India, Vijay's coach A Naser told UNI today.

A student of Farooq College in the city, Vijay represented the country in the French and German Championships and JBC Junior Championship in the last three years.

Tulasi, a plus two student of Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, Thrissur also played for the country in the ABC Sub Junior Championship last year.

The other members of the Indian team: Boys: Arun Nandaluri, Gurusai Dutt, K Tarun, Sumeet Reddy (Andhra Pradesh) and Aditya Elangovan (TN).

Girls: Arundati A, Sikki Reddy (Andhra Pradesh), Aswini Ponnappa, Nithya Suslay and Rush Misha (Karnataka).
