Amritsar Oct 19 (UNI) Ruling out the revival of terrorism in Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today pointed out that the peace loving residents of the border state had crushed the nefarious designs of anti national forces and threats would not deter him from discharging his duties.
He has directed the police authorities to refrain from drawing unnecessary conclusions in the aftermath of the Shingar cinema bomb blast that left six dead and 37 injured.
Pointing out that isolated cases of violence had taken place in various parts of the country, Mr Badal said that such incidents did not signal a revival of terrorism. " Comparisons should be avoided", he said while talking to mediapersons here.
" Reports of threats to my life have appeared in the press but I have full faith in the almighty and have never bothered about such news items" he said while indicating that he would not confine himself to his drawing room in the aftermath of such threats.
