Ranger convicted in DA case in MP

Bhopal, Oct 19: Forest Ranger posted under the Narmada Valley Development Authority at Kukshi in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh has been sentenced to three years rigorous imprisonment and fined Rs 10 lakh for possessing assets disproportionate to his income.

The special police establishment of Lokayukta has registered a case against Ram Shankar Tiwari in 1995 as during a search of his Indore residence he was found to be in possession of movable and immovable property worth about Rs 35 lakh.

The special court of Dhar convicted him recently, official sources said.
