Islamabad, Oct 19 (UNI) Pakistan Federal Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao has accepted his failure in controlling suicide attacks but expressed satisfaction on the work done by intelligence agencies.

''The suicide attackers cannot be stopped as they are brainwashed for this job,'' the Federal Minister was quoted as telling Geo News.

The jammers for stopping bomb blasts can only stop remote control attacks, not suicide bombers.

Replying to a question, Mr Sherpao said that quick emergent actions were immediately taken after the bomb blasts. The wounded persons were immediately sent to hospitals while the former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was taken to her ancestral home Bilawal House in Karachi.

The whole area has been cordoned after the incident so that the suspects may not escape, added the Minister.

Ms Bhutto was apprised of threat to her life beforehand and an officer of SSP rank was deputed to provide security to her, said the Minister.

There was no laxity on the part of Pakistan government and 20,000 police personnel were deputed but despite this, many persons were able to break the security cordon surrounding her, added the Minister.

''It was impossible to check each and every person on 24 km long route of the rally,'' he said.
