Mush seeks complete report on Karachi blasts within 48 hrs

called
up

Prime
Minister
Benazir
Bhutto
to
strongly
condemn
the
assassination
bid
on
her
in
Karachi
last
night,
and
directed
intelligence
agencies
to
utilise
all
resources
to
apprehend
those
behind
the
attempt.
Presiding over a law and order review meeting at his Camp Office in Rawalpindi, he directed the intelligence chiefs to investigate the blasts, in which 139 people were killed and over 500 injured, utilising all possible resources for locating the culprits and submit the complete report to him within 48 hours.
During his telephonic conversation with Ms Bhutto, the President expressed shock and profound grief over the attack and prayed for her safety and security.
On this occasion, both leaders expressed their unflinching resolve to fight the scourge of extremism and terrorism, and agreed that there was a need for the entire nation to unite in order to rid the country of the menace of suicide bombings, terrorism and extremism.
