HC issues bailable warrant against fast track court judge

Mumbai, Oct 19 (UNI) A single judge bench of the Bombay High Court has issued bailable warrant against a lower court judge, presently presiding over a fast track court in Nashik, for flouting a High Court order.

Justice S A Bobade of the High Court has issued a bailable warrant for Rs 5,000 against the Lower Court Judge.

Kashinath More had filed a civil suit for vacating possession of a small plot of land which was dismissed by the court of civil judge junior division, Palghar, presided over by Judge I B Shaikh.

The sessions court had allowed the appeal and ordered demolition of the structures on the said land. The plaintiff had moved the High Court which granted stay on the demolition order.

Despite the High Court order, the court of I B Shaikh had allegedly ordered demolition of the structures in question in accordance to the sessions court order.
