Chandigarh, Oct 19 (UNI) Haryana and Ontario state of Canada today explored the possibility of working together in the field of automobile and IT industries as both have commonalities in these fields. The discussions were held in this regard in a business roundtable and a reception which was organised in the honour of visiting Haryana Chief Minister Haryana Bhupinder Singh Hooda by the India Business council (C-IBC) and the Indo Canada Chamber of commerce (ICCC) at Toronto, an official release here said.
A high-powered delegation of the Haryana Government and CII led by Mr Hooda, reached Toronto on its last leg of tour to the American continent.
The meeting was largely attended by more than 200 enthusiast NRIs predominantly of the Haryana Origin. The efforts of the Chief Minister for making Haryana the number one state in the country were highly appreciated.
The High Commissioner of India in Canada and the Counsel General of India at Toronto were also present during the meeting. The delegation toured the length and breadth of United States promoting Haryana as a most preferred investment destination for the last seven days.
The delegation was welcomed and warmly received by the Counsel General of India at Toronto along with the prominent people of India especially from Haryana settled in Canada.
