GE Shipping Q2 net up 45.57 pc at Rs 342.79 cr

New Delhi, Oct 19: GE Shipping today registered a 45.57 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 342.79 crore for the second quarter ended September, against Rs 235.48 crore during the corresponding period a year ago.

The total income increased 36.36 per cent at Rs 806.16 crore from Rs 591.19 crore for the same period, a statement said.

The board has also approved allotment of interim dividend of Rs four per share to its equity shareholders.

Further, the board proposed to obtain the approval of shareholders by way of postal ballot for increasing the borrowing limits from the existing Rs 3,500 crore to Rs 5,000 crore.
