Four naxals killed in encounter in AP

Four
naxals
belonging
to
the
banned
Janashakti
party
were
killed
in
an
encounter
with
the
police
near
Gattumalle
village
of
Kottagudem
mandal
in
the
district
today.
Police said the naxals opened fire on the Greyhound forces, when they were combing the forest area.
In retaliation, the police fired at the naxals, killing them on the spot.
One of them was identified as Prakash, the party's District Commander. The other three slain naxals were yet to be identified.
Kits and weapons were recovered from the rebels.
