Retirement letter to 38 workers at Nepal's royal palace
Kathmandu, Oct 18 (UNI) At least 38 workers of Nepal's Narayanhiti Royal Palace will be retired from November 2, officials informed.
''The palace has informed us that all those who have crossed 58 years of age are being given a golden hand shake,'' Kantipur quoted General Administration Secretary Yuvraj Panday as saying.
The palace staff was brought under the government's administration last year, however, the palace had ignored the government's decision.
The palace was compelled to retired its employees after the government did not release salary for those employees who had crossed 58.
There are altogether 723 staffers at the Palace.
