New Delhi, Oct 18 (UNI) The Congress today said the India-US nuclear deal was still very much alive, but was not getting enough oxygen.
The deal has not been put on hold. However, it has not gone forward, Congress media department chairman Veerappa Moily told reporters here.
''The deal is very much alive, but it is not getting oxygen,'' he said.
On the reported remarks by RJD and DMK chiefs, congratulating the Government on avoiding mid-term polls, Mr Moily said these were their personal opinion.
''Every party has the right to have its opinion,'' he added.
He said the UPA-Left committee on the nuclear deal was meeting on October 22, where differences would be narrowed down.
