K'taka Govt employees demand implementation of 5th Pay Commission

Bangalore, Oct 18 (UNI) Karnataka State Government Employees Union today met Governor Rameshwar Thakur and appealed to implement the recommendations of Fifth Pay Commission.

The office bearers of the Union led by its President L Byrappa also urged the Governor to issue notification to upgrade Bangalore to 'A-1' City as per Union Government direction.

Mr Byrappa also appealed to the Governor to upgrade Districts and Taluks and ensure payment of other allowances on par with Central government employees.

The Governor assured to take suitable action after studying their demands.
