Economic and Statistical Organisation website launched

Chandigarh, Oct 18 (UNI) Haryana Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Finance and Planning Departments, S P Sharma today launched the web-site of the Economic and Statistical Organisation and Planning Department, Haryana here today.

This web-site (www.esaharyana.gov.in) contains the information about the activities and citizen charter of the Department, present set up, reports and e-publication, press releases and various circulars of the state Government.

Mr S P Sharma said this web-site would apprise the people about all important socio-economic aspects of the state's economy such as area, population, agriculture, irrigation, forests, animal husbandry, power, industries, labour, roads, transport, health, education, cooperation, public finance, prices and state income.

He said that all the data since the inception of Haryana State in the form of query based bilingual software of State Statistical Abstract would be available on the web-site. The information about RTI Act and linking to the web-site of Ministry of Finance, Government of India would also be provided on the web-site in near future.

Mr Rajiv Ranjan, Joint Secretary, Planning, Mr R K Bishnoi, Economic and Statistical Advisor, Haryana and other senior officers of the department were also present on this occasion.
