Chandigarh, Oct 18 (UNI) The Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT) of the Union Ministry of Culture has invited applications under Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme for 2008-09 by December 31.
The scheme aims at providing facilities to outstanding young children of the age group of 10 to 14 years for further developing their talents in various cultural fields.
An official spokesman said the Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme was being implemented at the national level by CCRT which functions as an autonomous organisation under the aegis of Union Ministry of Culture.
The total number of fresh scholarships to be awarded every year would be 400, of which minimum five seats were reserved for each state.
He said children born between July 1, 1994 and June 30, 1998 would be eligible to apply for the award of scholarship.
Minimum three years' training in the field of art form in which scholarship was being applied, either with a guru or in an institution was essential. Not more than four students of a Guru or institution would be considered for award of a scholarship at a time, he said.
