Congress must bring together secular forces in Gujarat: Pawar

Mumbai, Oct 18 (UNI) Union Agriculture Minister and NCP chief Sharad Pawar today said the Congress should take the initiative to bring together secular and like-minded forces to take on the BJP in Gujarat.

''It is the responsibility of Congress to take the initiative,'' Mr Pawar said while talking to newspersons here today.

He said NCP has entrusted this responsibility to Minister of State for Civil Aviation Praful Patel.

Mr Pawar said the rebel BJP legislators in Gujarat and many Congress leaders have been secretly in touch with him over the last one year. They should now come out openly, he said.
