Bomb hoax at Thane Railway station
Mumbai, Oct 18 (UNI) Panic prevailed at the Thane railway station this morning following a bomb threat which later turned out to be a hoax.
The railway sources said that at around 1000 hours, Thane Station police received a call stating that a bomb had been planted at the railway station. The caller addressed himself as a reporter.
The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was immediately put into action but after an-hour-long check with the help of sniffer dogs, nothing was found.
However, the trains were running on time during the checking, sources said.
