Mumbai, Oct 17 (UNI) The Indian cricket board today said there was no truth in reports which suggested that the Pakistan Cricket Board had made an request to the Board of Control for Cricket in India to accommodate a one-off Twenty20 international during the series against the arch-rivals starting next month.
BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah said here that there was no question about the T20 match, adding there was no such request that they know of from the PCB.
News reports from Pakistan have said that the PCB wanted the one-off T20 tie to raise funds for former coach Bob Woolmer's dream project -- a cricket academy in South Africa.
The BCCI has always maintained that it would be difficult to accommodate the T20 tie because of the tight schedule of the Indian team.
On the proposed Indian Premier League, Shah said the first meeting of IPL Governing Council will be held tomorrow.
