Jabalpur, Oct 17 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh High Court has amended its earlier ruling by directing the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) not to undertake any activity in Arera Colony until further orders.

Acting on Mr S L Chhajid's PIL challenging commercial activities in the area, Justices Deepak Verma and K S Chouhan yesterday ruled in favour of Narmada Advanced and Critical Care Institute Hospital and Maruti Service Centre and Automobile Workshop in view of the public service provided by them.

They were represented by former Advocate-Generals Vivek Tankha, Rajendra Tiwari and Udyan Tiwari who quoted a Supreme Court judgement and a provision in the Master Plan. The BMC was directed to prepare a list of commercial establishments in the Colony.
