New Delhi, Oct 17 (UNI) His emergence as a winner of the music reality show Sa Re Ga ma Pa Challenge, a contest where Rajasthan's Raja seemed a clear favourite, has evoked mixed reactions across the country.
He may have emerged as a winner in what has been dubbed as a ''global competition'' where some of the best singers from across the Globe showcased their prolific singing talent but Aneek Dhar from Kolkata, who won Zee's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge on Saturday, is quite modest and grounded about his triumph in the reality show over fellow finalists Raja and Amanat from Pakistan.
''Definitely, I am feeling very good about winning the competition. However, I do not want to feel ecstatic and wish to remain grounded about it all,''Aneek said in reaction to his win.
About his competitors Raja and Amanat, Aneek, talking to UNI, said,''all through the duration of the reality show, I, Amanat and Raja shared a strong bond with one another. Also, as the youngest among the three I was adored by Raja and Amanat.
Just because I have won does not mean they (Raja and Amanat) have lost. I feel all of us are winners of the Sa Re Ga ma Pa Challenge.'' On his future plans, Aneek said,''in the next few months, I will be busy in music concerts in Kolkata and a world tour wherein we will be having live concerts in several countries.
Then, I am also giving playback music for three films, including two films where Bappida (Bappi Lahiri) is giving music. I will also be doing playback singing for Shameer Tandon and Shantanu Moitra.'' However, Aneek said top among his wish list was doing playback for a film starring model-turned actress Deepika Padukone.
Incidentally, in a recent episode of Sa Re Ga Ma Challenge, Deepika is said to have heaped effusive praise for Aneek's singing.
The episode also saw Aneek declare his fascination for Deepika.
''I'd love to give playback for a hero opposite Deepika in a forthcoming film,''Aneek said.
