DYFI charges UDF campaign using Church on sacrament issue
Kozhikode, Oct 17 (UNI) The pro-CPI(M) Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) in Kerala today criticised the Opposition United Democratic Front for unleashing a proxy campaign ''using'' the last sacrament of Mathai Chacko, MLA.
Talking to newspersons here, DYFI State president M B Rajesh and Secretary T V Rajesh said the UDF was trying to create a wedge between the believers and the progressive movement in the State to meet their ''nefarious intentions.'' Denying reports on the administration of last sacrament to Chacko, they said the late leader remained a true Communist and revolutionary throughout his life and the ''unwanted propaganda'' was aimed at tarnishing his image.
They said DYFI would organise a 'Youth Maha Sangamam' in Thiruvambadi, the Assembly constituency of Chacko on October 23 to unravel the ''evil designs'' of the UDF and the Church.
