BJP plans 'Vikas Yatra' in Rajasthan: Munde

Jaipur, Oct 17 (UNI) With one year left for the elections in Rajasthan, the BJP is planning a 'Vikas Yatra' to highlight the achievements of its government and also completing political appointments.

Addressing a press conference here today, party general secretary in charge of Rajasthan Gopinath Munde said all the political appointments will be made immediately.

He was speaking to media after the second joint meeting of the ministers and state party office bearers here at the CMs house today.

Mr Munde said such joint meetings would be held on a regular basis every month for better co ordination between the government and party in the state.

The meeting today take stock of the success of the efforts being made by the party and governemnt in reaching out to the people and will decide on a mass public condact programme to highlight the achievements of its government in the state, he said. He said the state executive meeting was scheduled to be held in Chittorgarh from October 24 to 27 give final shape to the programme and many ideas, including a Vikas Yatra, were being planned in the state.

Home minister Gulab Chand Kataria, Education Minister Ghanshyam Tiwari, Industry Minister Narpat Singh Rajvi and social welfare minister Madan Dilawar were conspicous by their absence in the meeting.
