BANGKOK, Oct 16 (Reuters) China and South Korea will be without their top-ranked singles players for next month's Asian Hopman Cup, organisers said today.
Asian number ones Lee Hyung-taik (South Korea) and Li Na (China) have been left out of the six-nation mixed team event, the winner of which earns a place at the Hopman Cup in Perth.
Japan, South Korea, China, Uzbekistan, Taiwan and hosts Thailand will take part in this year's competition in Bangkok from Nov. 8-11.
India won the inaugural Asian Hopman Cup last year. The event follows a round-robin format, with men's and women's singles and mixed doubles.
