Jaipur, Oct 16 (UNI) Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation have decided to collaborate for the promotion of tourism in each other's state.
Under the agreement, Tamil Nadu Tourism festivals would be organised in Rajasthan while Rajasthan Tourism festivals would be held in Tamil nadu.
Tourism Director and Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Tourism Dr M Rajaram while addressing a press conference here today said,'' Both the tourism corporations would act as a fecilitator for the travellers to visit the other state.'' Mr Rajaram said Tamil Nadu has registered a 22 per cent growth in tourist arrivals last year and aims to increase it by 25 per cent this year, adding that Tamil Nadu Tourism is exploring the possibility of developing cruise tourism in Chennai and Tutucorin to attract more domestic and foreign tourists into the state.
''The Rail-cum-Road tours operated from Jaipur has become very popular among the tourists from Rajasthan also, the tarrif includes confirmed train tickets, 'pick up and drop' facility at Chennai Central Railway station, transport, accomodation, two time meals, guide service, entry fees of places being visited and special darshan fee at Tirupati,'' he informed.
