Seminar on US visa policy
Mumbai, Oct 16 (UNI) US Consular Affairs Assistant Secretary Maura Harty reaffirmed her government's commitment to facilitate legitimate business and tourist travel to US, and to streamline the visa application process.
''We are responsive to the needs of Indians and the business community,'' assured Ms Harty to the industry captains who attended the seminar on US Visa policy, which was organized by Indo American Chamber of Commerce, Western India Council.
A new Consulate General office will be set up at the Bandra-Kurla Complex at a cost of USD 100 million. This will double the space and benefit visa applicants and staff, a release stated.
Another Consulate General office is expected to be inaugurated in Hyderabad next year, the release added.
