New Delhi, Oct 16 (UNI) The Delhi Police today claimed to have busted an inter-state gang of five criminals operating in Gujarat and the National Capital Region (NCR).
Acting on a tip-off, the special staff of south Delhi Police laid a seige to Geetanjali enclave in Malviya Nagar, where the five criminals were to meet, and arrested the robbers yesterday.
The criminals were wanted by the crime branch of Ahmedabad Police in several cases of robbery.
The five were identified as Kanak Ratnam, Madhava, Siranjeevi, Jagan and Shanta Kumar. A pistol, two live cartridges and two button actuated knives were recovered from them.
The arrest was facilitated by the leads provided by their accomplices arrested earlier in cases of robbery by the Gujarat Police.
