Chennai, Oct 16 (UNI) Eyeing a place in the Guinness Book of World records, a 26-year-old Information Technology (IT) professional will paint a huge portrait of 'Mother Teresa' holding the brush in his mouth at VGP Trade Centre here from October 19.
Mr R Rajendran, hailing from Puducherry, would paint the 'Saint of the Masses' on a 20 ft X 30 ft canvas, using acrylic colours.
Talking to newspersons here today, he said ''it would take a minimum of 11 days to complete the painting.'' He had chosen to paint Mother Teresa for the record attempt as she was a public personality.
Mr Rajendran, who had begun painting with his mouth in 1999, said three judges - an advocate, a doctor and a professor - would ink the witness certificate.
He said that according to the specification, ''my painting should consist of different sections and all parts must be securely joined to form the finished picture. Upon completion, the painting must be available for public inspection for a while.'' The young painter had earlier entered the Limca Book of Records by painting a 10 ft X 7 ft picture of former President Abdul Kalam.
Besides, the philanthropist had also painted various pictures in this way for raising funds for the December 2004 tsunami victims.
