MP Cong demand probe into land allotment
Bhopal, Oct 16 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh's main opposition Congress today demanded issuance of a white paper and initiation of a judicial inquiry into the state government allegedly allotting land to Bharatiya Janata Party-supported organisations and saffron party leaders.
''It caused a loss of several crores to the government.
Government guidelines were violated. The beneficiaries should be made to pay the fixed government prices for the land. The probe should be conducted by a retired High Court judge and legal action taken against officials responsible,'' Congress state President Subhash Yadav told newspersons here today while providing a list of allotted plots.
He warned that if action was not taken in a fortnight then the Congress would approach the High Court, Lokayukt and Economic Offences Wing.
''The Pradesh Congress Committee will conduct a 'Pol Khol' campaign from October 23 to November 30 to bring to light the regime's corruption and scams. An action plan will be prepared against the BJP, Bharatiya Janashakti party, Bahujan Samaj Party, Samajwadi Party and Gondwana Ganatantra Party,'' Mr Yadav added.
He demanded the resignation of Public Works Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya whom he held responsible for the pathetic condition of the state's roads.
