Modi urges students to support him in elections

Rajkot, Oct 16 (UNI) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has urged students to support him in the upcoming elections for proper development of the Saurashtra and Kutch regions.

While addressing the youth convention here last evening, organised by educationsts from Atmya College, Mr Modi said, ''Give me five years and your support for the development of Saurashtra and Kutch to place the regions on the world map.'' Mr Modi critcised the previous Congress Government for their lack of proper planning and said that they did little for the region.

Mr Modi said that during his regime several developmental projects were undertaken and terrorism also reduced considerably.

The students, present at the convention, took pledge ''to work as soldiers'' in the Modi regime and performed Sanedo and Titolo as part of Rass Garba.

Saurashtra University Vice Chancellor and Pro Vice Chancellor Dr Kamlesh Joshipura and Kalpak Trivedi were also present at the convention.
